Hello Parents!

I would love to introduce myself. My name is Consuelo and I am a mom of 1 lovely daughter. My husband Evelio works as a consulting manager for a large investment bank. My daughter is a junior at San Jose State University and she is a part time employee of our family daycare.

I grew up in Michoacán, Mexico and got my GED in San Jose, California. Over the years I have held many jobs but the the job I have enjoyed the most is caring for children. I worked as a nanny for 2 families in Mexico and I have worked with at least 4 families in the Bay Area.

I have designed Kid's Place Family Daycare to be a fun and creative space for children to come to each day. It is an art and play-based daycare where we explore many areas of art and have a curriculum that changes either weekly or bi-weekly depending on what we’re learning about. Some examples are: the seasons, bugs, cooking and baking, shadows, weather, farming, and the ocean. I want children to be excited to come each day and to be curious about everything!
